Triathlons--I completed my first triathlon on June 24, 2001. I was just glad that I didn't drown! I'm doing another one on August 4th and have signed up for a third on October 14th. I'm hooked! (That's me with the white helmet on the bike at the Danskin Triathlon. And exiting the water at Tri for Fun.)
	These images are from the Nike Womens' Triathlon I participated in on October 14th (a birthday tri!).
	During the summer of 1995 I worked as an Interpretive Intern at Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California. After a two week training on interpersonal communication (Seven Habits) and Lassen ecosystems, I, along with my twenty classmates, spent time interning in the Park. We worked in the Loomis museum, helped with ranger-led programs, fixed trails, etc. I am pictured here with my intern friends James, Steve, Colt, Sunshine, and David. Anyone interested in this program can contact Shasta College or the Sacramento River Discovery Center.
La Mokka is the 22 year old daughter of El Mok Tar, one of the black Arabian stallions who played in the movie "The Black Stallion." We have owned Mokka since she was two (and since I was two!). I started riding her at age 10 when I graduated from my first pony, Shorty (who I began riding at age three). She and I have been through three day events, Pony Club rallys, horse shows, trail rides, Pony Club camp, etc. She's very smooth and fun to ride. Because she lives at my parents small farm, I don't get to ride her as much as I would like to these days. But when I go home to visit, we usually go for a ride or two.

Ceramics--my current obsession. These are some of my pieces. Others still in the kiln, on the drying shelf, on the firing shelf, in my hands, and in my head.
